What is Hip Pain?
- Hip pain may not always be felt precisely over the hip joint rather in and around the hip joint.
- The cause for pain is multifactorial and the exact position of your hip pain suggests the probable cause or underlying condition causing it.
- Groin pain suggest the problem may be coming from the hip joint.
- Pain on the outside of the hip and/or the buttocks may be from the hip but also may include other conditions such as a muscle strain, bursitis or referred pain from your low back
Diagnosis of Hip Pain
Dr. Jennings and his team will evaluate your condition based on the following
- Your medical history
- A physical examination of the hip and thigh region
- X-rays
- And other diagnostic test as needed (i.e. MRI, CT scan)
